Apparently some workers who were helping fix the stadium said they saw rehearsals for Madonna’s performance for the halftime show and saw Vogue on the stage and two guys french kissing.

Madonna is in NYC rehearsing. The performers (including Madonna herself) have not yet left NYC to rehearse in Indianapolis.

No one helping fix the stadium in Indianapolis saw Madonna rehearsing because she hasn’t even rehearsed in the stadium yet! She is still in NYC.

[Personal] taste is like assholes… but one thing is undeniable: Lana Del Rey’s album is musically, melodically, lyrically far superior than that generic contemporary pop sound made by that Madonna-wannabe and stalker [Miss Germanotta]. Payola really buys you stars and likes on Rolling Stone magazine - ask Lady Gag. I bet Madonna’s new album MDNA will be met with negative reviews from them too.

No, no, no, honey… I’m not talking about sales only. I’m talking about their body of work. Read my comments again, you will see I mentioned their creations all along. The only time I mentioned “commercial success” was when I talked about Madonna having sold more than Mariah both in the USA and worldwide. Madonna’s catalog is artistically richer and more relevant than Mariah’s. There is no arguing over this matter.  

Madonna’s may be more relevant (here’s the commercial success), but artistically richer is also up to opinion. I’m not arguing over who’s better. For the 50th time I like them both, I personally prefer Mariah, and I don’t have a problem with a fact that you personally prefer Madonna. I have a problem with the fact that you feel like you need to bash somebody else because of it.

Why don’t you give Mariah an actual chance before you go and say stuff like that? If you don’t want to, then don’t talk shit. It’s immature as fuck and it’s a major turn off to potential fans. It’s like with Gaga, most of her haters hate her because of her FANS! Don’t be that person.

You see, unlike what you said “Madonna’s may be more relevant (here’s the commercial success)”: being relevant has nothing to do with commercial success.

Being relevant means whatever you do, it has an impact in whatever field you are, and that impact will change the direction of an entire area. In Madonna’s case, she’s relevant not because she is the best selling female worldwide, it’s because her work has changed the landscape in the music scene in several occasions.

She showed the direction in which music would go several times in her career, even when she sold only 4 million copies of an album (her least popular one). That’s relevance. 

Also, unlike what you said, stating that Madonna’s work is “artistically richer” than Mariah’s is NOT an opinion. An opinion would be: “I like it or I don’t like it”. There are artistic perspectives and values that are applied to every field in the arts:  music, video, film, painting, sculpture etc.

Madonna’s musical catalog is richer than Mariah’s not only because she has explored different genres and music styles, but because of the musical quality of her work. The production value and the cultural content of her body of work are completely superior to Mariah’s cheap trendy work. And note that during Mariah’s first years she was merely a Tommy Mottola puppet. Then she became just a trashy singer following the R&B trend.

Mariah is a joke as a songwriter. She is not respected as a songwriter, not here, not anywhere in the world.

Sorry to inform you, but Madonna’s first album was almost entirely written and composed by herself. So were most of the songs by Emmy and the Emmy’s and the Breakfast Club. Bet you didn’t know that. LOL 

You seem obsessed with the idea of “singing well” - that’s the only thing Mariah Scarey fans can use to defend her honor. But listen: as it’s been already discussed, vocal range is not a musical talent. Why would you think Madonna’s fans would envy Mariah’s vocal range? Madonna does great within her vocal range - she does pretty well with the voice (a natural ability) she was born with. Not to mentioned that Madonna’s voice is versatile - it suits pop, dance, jazz, rock, ambient, musical - she was highly acclaimed every time she sang in those genres, proving that you don’t have to reach a certain note to be successful as a singer. There’s no need to be envy or jealous when Madonna is far more successful and talented as a musician and songwriter than Mariah Carey. Another proof that vocal range is just an ability.
