Examiner:
Madonna grosses $150 million with just 14 concerts
The Billboard Box Score earnings have just been posted and it shows what we have all come to expect: Madonna is still the Queen of Pop.
Lady Gaga has the top concert gross of the week with her four shows in Australia. However, Madonna dominates most of the other positions in the top 10 and she obtained those positions with one or two shows. Lady Gaga is still mostly an arena artist where Madonna is an artist who plays big stadiums. Still, both artists show that the touring business is still going strong and that their fans will pay a lot of money for tickets.
In other Madonna news, her top ten single “Give Me All Your Lovin’” has been certified Gold by the RIAA in the US for selling more than 500,000 copies. The albumMDNA, which her detractors call a “flop,” is currently the fifth biggest selling album of the year in terms of international sales. Looks like 2012 will be a very profitable year for the Queen of Pop!Look it up.
I love it when those little morons send me messages saying Madonna “flopped”.
Yeah, Madonna flopped with the MDNA TOUR kicking Lady Gaga’s saggy ass by far. And the prices of their tickets are not even that different (check it out here).
If that’s not enough, maybe they say Madonna flopped because her latest album, MDNA, the one that received no traditional promotion, is currently the 5th best selling album of the year worldwide. That, after 29 years in the music business. What a flop!
And to top it off, just reassuring what those little morons say, Flopdonna’s 38th top 10 hit in the US, Give Me All Your Luvin’,has just been certified Gold by the RIAA for selling more than 500,000 copies in the US alone.
Yeah! What a tragedy! What a terrible year for Madonna. What a flop!
