- and so Madonna ruled the world.
Oh, it must kill Lady Gaga, the self-proclaimed “biggest pop artist since Andy Warhol,” knowing that Madonna was not only good friends with Warhol himself, but she was his muse.
Andy Warhol collaborated with Keith Haring (another personal friend of Madonna’s) on a series that celebrated Madonna’s fame and attitude towards scandal:
Madonna: friend and muse of two of the most prominent names in American Pop Art.
Andy Warhol: “It was just the Most Exciting Weekend of My Life” on the Madonna & Sean Penn wedding:
Remember when Andy Warhol was a judge on a Madonna look-a-like contest at Madonnaland in Macy’s?
Meanwhile, Lady Gaga in drag appears in public, channeling Andy Warhol, adding more references to her catalog of rip-offs and unoriginal ideas. “Fake it till you make it” is still Gaga’s schtick.
Thanks Pud Whacker for such a vast collection of images.
Lady Gaga should quit being a “song-writer” and enlist the services of Purple Crush - their songs are much more truthful to what Lady Gaga stands for than the ones Lady Gaga vomits in her studio sessions herself.
More after the jump.
Did you guys see Lady Gaga’s latest “invention”? Her hand-made fiber optic wig?
I love it how she is calls it an “invention”. I also love it how she talks in a Madonna-esque mixed accent.
In the video, titled “An ARTPOP Invention”, Lady Gaga says:
“I wanted to show you one of the newest inventions from the Haus of Gaga. This is a handmade wig by Frederic Aspiras, and it was an innovation that myself, and Tara and Freddi came up with, with our friend Chris, and we’ve been working on it for over six months. We are going to light it up for you to see, it’s the first…”
—- The video abruptly cuts at “this is the first…” and jumps to Gaga saying she’s turning the lights off to show us what she [the wig] can do.
I wonder if she was about to say something like “this is the first fiber optic wig”. First, well, it is not.
In fact, hers is not even the first wig that lights up. So how can she say she “came up with” this idea, if anyone can buy fiber optic wigs on the web?
Made in China, baby!
Lady Gaga and her “haus” surely are a group of very prolific plagiarists. They are always “inventing” stuff (don’t forget that, at first, Lady Gaga also said that her “bubble dress” was their invention too).
This video is so full of megalomania, that even the fact that the wig is handmade is used as a “status” factor by Lady G. Newsflash: all good wigs are handmade. I would expect a singer who’s been wearing a wig most of her career to be wearing good ones. Telling us that her wig was “handmade” is sort of an oxymoron.
The highlight of it all is when she calls her fiber optic wig an “
invention” [correction:] an “ARTPOP invention”. She even had the nerve to say it’s an “innovation” she took part of, she “came up with” the idea.
So, unlike what Lady Gaga said, she did not invent anything, she did not innovate anything, she didn’t come up with any idea:
The only idea she came up with was to copy the creations of other people. Manufacturing her own fiber optic wig, just like the ones anyone can buy on the Internet is the same as seeing a dress at a window and, instead of buying it, ordering a seamstress to make a knock-off.
Is Lady Gaga truly that delusional or is she a pathological liar?
It’s infuriating how this woman blatantly lies about everything. She disrespects the entire world’s common-sense.
What’s next? She’s going to present the wheel as “An ARTPOP Invention” as well?
FARTPOOP, yes, indeed.
Maybe that’s why Lady Gaga’s nose is so big, she’s the Pinocchio of Pop:
If Lady Gaga did take part with the pussy riot thing when it first started like a day or two after Madonna did it then you would just say she only did it because Madonna did and shes being “Reductive”, sorry but you can’t have it both ways.
Did you even read the article? I already addressed the “topic” you are trying to discuss, honey. It says:
“So far, when it comes to the pro-Pussy Riot movement, it seems that for Lady Gaga, avoiding one more comparison to Madonna is more important than supporting freedom of speech and the brave girls of Pussy Riot.
In case you don’t understand the concept (as this one guy here), the rationale behind it is the following:
If Lady Gaga is NOT supporting the movement because she wants to AVOID more comparisons with Madonna (or any other artist), it is just as bad as blatantly copying someone else’s actions. Ultimately, it means that Lady Gaga is, once again, taking her career through a path based on the choices made by another artist.”
Let me try to be even clearer: by avoiding the Pussy Riot movement because Madonna is involved, Lady Gaga IS being “reductive” because, once again, her actions are based on something Madonna has done. The idea is that not doing something because of Madonna is no different from doing it because of Madonna. Get it? Yes/no, love/hate, they are two sides of the same coin.
Besides that, it is very ignorant of you to suggest I would be calling her “reductive” with no evidence and/or in-depth explanation for it. It’s become well-known that I always back up my claims with evidence and support my opinions with arguments. Even low life little morons cannot say otherwise — even if they blindly decide to keep being followers of a serial plagiarist like Lady G.
Not to mention that many people are supporting Pussy Riot. I mentioned their names. No one is copying anyone while supporting the same cause. Different people can support the same causes and talk about the same issues in different ways.
If Lady Gaga tattooed “Free Pussy Riot” in her body or wore a balaclava while doing it, I would definitely call it a rip-off acte de résistance. But that is not the only way of showing support. Lady G could find other ways, but she didn’t even mention it on twitter.
If supporting a cause and being vocal about it were enough to make me brand her “reductive” or “copycat”, I would be doing the same for her support for the gay cause and equality - Madonna has been doing it since the 80s. The only thing I have to say about Lady G supporting the gay cause is that she does it at a time that it is basically required from a popstar. They all do it now. It’s cool to do it. Madonna did it when it wasn’t cool. Madonna did it when it was bad to associate oneself with the gay community. So bad that even gay men such as Elton John and George Michael hid in the closet. In fact, like I stated before, Elton John even got married to a woman to avoid any public association with the gays in order to save his career.
So no, I don’t want to have it both ways, and I would not brand her “reductive” for joining a good cause and fighting the good fight. However, I would (and I do) analyze and assess the kind of involvement she has with any movement, and how she does it. And right now, not doing anything for Pussy Riot means she only cares about issues that will not hurt her public image and that end up increasing her bank account.
I was sent this picture and it cracked me up (sorry, I missed your URL):
Why not simply call it “Eggplant”?
sophiemalibu submitted this:
“On the cover of a magazine…”, except that Gaga doesn’t have style, or grace, and most definitely, she doesn’t give good face.
Behold the queen of
pop photoshop. Vogue should submit this for best special effects:
When I saw this pic of Caca from Vogue, a familiar image from 2005 instantly sprung to mind… seems reductive, doesn’t it?
Yes, it does, Jeremy.
Look at how they completely remodeled Lady Garbage’s jawline.
That is NOT the shape of her face. They go way out of their way to make Lady Garbage look pretty.
Gaga, “Fame” commercial, 2012 Vs. Madonna’s “Drowned World Tour” 2001:
Cameron Diaz does Madonna
… and she doesn’t look like a desperate wannabe!
Cameron Diaz doing Madonna in the a scene from the movie “The Sweetest Thing”:
I absolutely LOVE it.
So I saw a bunch of pics on my dashboard from little morons accusing Madonna of copying Gaga’s heel-less shoes because, you know, Gaga invented heel-less platforms, colorful wigs, 8-minute music videos, pop art, Styrofoam castles and pop music on her own.
By the way, please give a shout out @joapa (on twitter), he is that Brazilian little moron who had his artwork STOLEN by Gaga’s team. He still defends her - I guess the settlement he got from her team also buys your unconditional love. Too bad Gaga’s money does not buy a brain, or common sense, or knowledge. @joapa tweeted earlier today something implying that Madonna is actually copying Gaga’s shoes. Couldn’t that moron at least Google Madonna at the Grammy’s 1999?
So here’s what I have to say about this.
UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE
Add to the list Madonna’s heel-less shoes featured on her SEX book in 1992:
UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE
The CONCEPT is the same: high shoes without the heels.
Using the excuse “the design is different” is the most moronic excuse ever. After all, high-heeled shoes come in different designs.
The fact that the heels on different shoes come in different designs does not mean they do not have the same concept or are based in the same concept.
Same with shoes that come without heels: the design might be different, the concept is the same.
I am not a fan of Madonna (not even close Lady Gaga) but sometimes I get pissed by some
newstyles that she uses:
And, oh, I remember a performance!
Thanks for the submission. She has been wearing those “skeleton”, “strapped” outfits since the first leg of her Monster Ball. A real Madonna-wannabe never changes. LOL.
Gaga has such a big entourage. Can’t they tell her she is too out of shape to show so much skin? Her fat rolls are all over the place, squeezed by that strapped outfit. UGLY!
And what about her nipples? Did anyone notice she is showing her nipple on the streets with that see-through outfit? Seems to me she is desperately trying to pull another Madonna incident…
Have you guys ever heard of the band SSION?
They have an awesome track called “Clown”, which borrows lots of elements from Madonna’s Holiday and Everybody
It doesn’t sound as a rip-off. If anything, it is a well-done homage. It’s not pretentious and it’s pure fun.
When I listen to this track, it makes me smile every time I recognize a Madonna reference (including a few lines from “keep it Together”) hidden underneath (there are many).
That’s not all. There’s more:
The band (pronounced /shn/ as in “passion”) also recreated the choreography in Madonna’s Holiday circa 1982/83. It’s awesome:
See Madonna doing the same steps in 1982/83:
Gaga Reductive needs to learn how to pay homage properly. But she can’t. She comes off as a wannabe even when she doesn’t try.
madonna wants to use quentin tarantino as a director for a video? didnt gaga already use something of his? the pussy wagon? thats pretty interesting.
Madonna has already been in a movie directed and written by Tarantino. Four Rooms - 1995.
What were you saying about Lady Who, anyway? Are you sure you want to go down that road? Implying Gaga did anything “first”? Really?
Not to mention that they are friends. LOL
You’re out, ignorant uneducated little
monster cunt and personal stalker. You’re the only one who still haven’t noticed that. Your self-esteem must be reaaaaaally low.
But if you do want to be that stupid and imply one is copying the other because of a director that has never even worked with gaga (he solely lent a car used in one of his movies to be used in her video), there are other much more relevant aspects of both that could be taken into consideration:
It seems like your blog is dedicated to "exposing" Lady GaGa. Here's my question. Why are you using Tumblr to expose Lady GaGa or whatever it is you're doing? Obviously, no matter what anybody says, your opinion is right and everyone else's is wrong. You are a seriously dumb cunt and I hope Madonna dies exactly like Whitney. Peace out, cunt.
Why are you using Tumblr to expose Lady GaGa or whatever it is you’re doing? Because I want to and because I can do it well. And I have gotten the reaction out of people (both gaga stans and haters) exactly the way I wanted to. You see, you are still talking to me. I love providing evidence that gaga is a fraud to people that cannot stand her. And I love it when people like you come to hate on me, but always fail to provide any piece of evidence that prove my allegations wrong. It just reinforces me, my beliefs and my point of view.
“I hope Madonna dies exactly like Whitney”. Oh! That’s too bad. Madonna stands for, among other things, a healthy life style - unlike Whitney, Michael Jackson, Winehouse, or even Lady Gaga herself. You know, Gaga - that cocaine user, weed smoker cunt who drinks every single night. Have you checked her twitter account lately? You will find out that she talks about drinking almost every night.
By the way, isn’t it pathetic that she admits she smokes weed and drinks whiskey to help her write music? She is either high or drunk in the studio. No wonder why her songs are the way they are…
On another note, that is what differs people from your subclass and people like me. When unhappy ignorant brainless little
monster cunts like you can’t take people not liking gaga, you wish them (or their favorite stars) bad/death. I, on the other hand, do not wish that to Gaga, hell no.
I want Lady Gaga alive - I get off exposing her bullshit, making fun of her and, most of all, her uneducated fan base.
The kind of death I wish to Gaga is the “artistic death”. And I got a little taste of it in 2011. The “biggest star” in the world (LOL) promoted the “album of the decade” relentlessly in the biggest markets around the world, still, she only managed to sell 66,25% off of the 8 million albums shipped worldwide (the album sold only 5,3 million units - do the math).
On the other hand, Adele sold over 15 million units worldwide - and she did less than 1/3 of the promotion Gaga did. That is what I am talking about: artistic death, “lauperland”. Meaning: just like Cyndi Lauper, Gaga will still be around making music, but being as irrelevant as it should be.
It’s sad when people like you say stuff like “I hope Madonna dies exactly like Whitney”, because it not only reflects how dark their soul is, but how deeply emotionally unstable they are. It’s only pop music, whether you like it or not, you have the right to express yourself. But when disliking someone’s work makes you wish them dead, it means you need to have your head checked ASAP. Besides that, considering gaga’s cocaine abuse history, and that she still smokes a lot of pot and the fact that she drinks every night, she might be closer to pull a Whitney or Amy, than Madonna will ever be. We are talking about Madonna, the music mega-star with an athlete’s physique, who is twice Gaga’s age and still kicks her ass with her energy and stamina.
You say ”your opinion is right and everyone else’s is wrong”, LOL. Boy, you do need to learn the difference between an opinion and a fact. “I dislike Gaga” is an opinion. “I think you’re dumb” is an opinion. There’s no right or wrong about opinions. When I point out that Gaga copies Madonna, it is not an opinion, it’s a fact. How can you argue this?
Do you still think this is an “opinion”? Seriously?
What about this?
State that Lady gaga copied the “mermaid in a wheelchair” act from Bette Midler is not an opinion, it is a fact:
When one states that Born This Way has the same chord progressions as Madonna’s Express Yourself, that is not an opinion either, that is a fact. When you have the same key changes in the same order on two different songs, that is not an opinion. That is a fact. A key is a key.
So, please, brainless little
monster cunt, do not mistake “opinion” with “fact” anymore. It makes you sound so ignorant - you have no idea. But wait, you don’t care. You are a loser hidden behind an anonymous post. LOL. Man up. Even if you were a girl.
